Brand Foundation
Mission
Medical Justice exists to protect physicians from the full spectrum of medico-legal threats — frivolous lawsuits, medical board complaints, and online reputation attacks — through proactive deterrence, expert guidance, and comprehensive support that standard malpractice insurance does not provide.
Vision
To be the indispensable first call every physician makes when they sense trouble — ensuring no doctor faces medico-legal threats alone or unprepared.
Brand Story
Medical Justice was founded in 2002 by Dr. Jeffrey Segal, a board-certified neurosurgeon who experienced a frivolous malpractice lawsuit firsthand during his own clinical career. Rather than accept the status quo, Dr. Segal pursued his law degree — graduating with highest honors — and dedicated his career to building the protection he wished had existed for him. What began as a singular act of physician advocacy has grown over more than two decades into a trusted resource serving 12,000+ U.S. physicians across every specialty and practice type. Medical Justice is the only organization of its kind: founded and led by a physician who is also a licensed attorney, built on the conviction that proactive deterrence — not reactive defense — is the only adequate answer to the legal threats physicians face every day.
Target Audience
Practicing physicians of all specialties across the United States, ages 30–65 and earning $200,000+, frequently solo or small-group practitioners without in-house legal or compliance support. They are high-achieving, time-constrained, and reputation-protective, distrustful of insurers and the legal system, and seek proactive expert guidance to safeguard the medical license and career they have built over decades.
