Brand Story
Chris Craig founded Craig Associates in 2005 after earning his JD from North Carolina Central University School of Law — but what sets the practice apart starts with who he is, not where he studied. He is a father. He is an adoptee. He is a small business owner. The three primary client profiles the firm serves are the three primary chapters of his own life. That personal alignment runs through everything: the warmth of the team, the education-first approach to every client meeting, the Asheville Humane Society partnership that includes a free Peace of Mind Pet Care Program for clients who include AHS in their estate plan.
After 20+ years of continuous community presence and Best of Asheville recognition, Craig Associates remains the only American Academy of Adoption Attorneys Fellow in all of Western North Carolina — a distinction that leads other regional attorneys to refer their most complex adoption cases here. The firm's holistic practice model means clients don't have to start over with a new attorney when one life chapter connects to another.
